St. Stephen's United Methodist Church is a growing community of believers in the Northeast Heights of Albuquerque. We strive to offer a church home where people help, care for, and support one another to live faithful Christian lives. Celebrating 50 years of ministry, we're dedicated to helping you become the person God intends you to be.  If you're exploring a relationship with God for the first time, have already committed to being a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, or just wondering what it's all about - St. Stephen's invites you to be part of this journey with us as we begin fostering new heights. We are here for you!

St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our church's vision is to:

G o d

God, who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons.

J e s u s

We believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ. God became human in Jesus whose life, death, and resurrection demonstrate God's redeeming love.

T h e   H o l y   S p i r i t

The Holy Spirit is God's present activity in our midst. When we sense God's leading, God's challenge, or God's support or comfort, it's the Holy Spirit at work.

H u m a n   B e i n g s

Genesis 1:27 asserts that we've been made in the image of the Creator. Like God, we have the capacity to love and care, to communicate, and to create.

T h e   C h u r c h

The church is the body of Christ, an extension of Christ's life and ministry in the world.

T h e   B i b l e

We believe that the Bible is the primary authority for our faith and practice.

G o d ' s   R e i g n

The kingdom or reign of God is both a present reality and future hope.

9:00 am - Noon

Ages 3 through 5th Grade

Join us June 8–12 from 9:00 am to noon for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. Kids will embark on an Alaskan adventure where glowing northern lights, rushing rivers, and icy glaciers set the stage for discovering that Jesus is our True North—a faithful friend we can always trust. Each day, children travel with their small “Crews” through engaging activity stations, sing fun and faith-filled songs, and experience the daily Bible message through hands-on activities designed to help them learn, grow, and make new friends.

Deadline to register is Friday, May 29, 2026.
